Our Story
Three childhood friends.
One passion for food.
La Manufacture was founded in Basel in 2016 by three childhood friends passionate about gastronomy, creativity and homemade food. Everything started in the Gundeli district with a restaurant focused on brunch, tartines and gourmet burgers, using quality ingredients and homemade recipes with one mission: crafting unforgettable food experiences.
One year later, we opened La Manufacture Elisabethen in the Klosterberg district, a concept specialized in breakfast, bagels and specialty coffee, using organic and Demeter products whenever possible. The same year, we joined Klara Food Hall at Claraplatz in Basel with a kitchen dedicated entirely to gourmet burgers.
During the Covid pandemic in 2020, our restaurants closed for several months. We used this time to develop delivery and click & collect, leading to the creation of FOOD HERO Group.
Over the years, we launched brands such as Ghostacos, Hey Buddy, Nonna, Waku Waku, Wild Garden, Gringos, MOB, Fada and more.
Today, FOOD HERO Group develops modern food brands built for delivery and aims to expand its concepts across Switzerland through scalable, turnkey franchise models.
